About me
Nadia Repenning is the CEO and a founder of AgentSheets, Inc., a company focused on developing and implementing software environments for agent-based games and simulations in STEM education. She is also the founder and director of the Computational Thinking Foundation, a 501(c) non-profit that focuses on teaching professional development SGD classes. Her background is in business management. As the leader of AgentSheets, Inc. she has created and taught professional SGD development classes for teachers globally. She has managed numerous grants from US government agencies NSF and NIH, partnered with universities and non-profit organizations to develop SGD curricula for CS in K-12 public education, and has co-authored academic papers on the use of agent-based games and simulations in K-12 schools. She has collaborated with the University of Colorado, Boulder, College of Education and Computer Science department on the SGD project, the largest NSF evaluation of CS education with over 6000 students. AgentSheets, Inc. products are used by teachers in K-12 schools and universities around the world. The Computational Thinking Foundation was the winner of a Google Rise Partnership award called Chic@s Code with the University of Colorado, the Shodor Foundation, and the Instituto Innovación Transferencia Tecnología in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
